introduction
The Northern Ryeland Breeders Group was orignally formed in 1991 to promote the Ryeland breed in the North of England, Scotland and North Wales. The membership is now not confined to those areas.
The purpose of the group is to promote the Ryeland breed particularly to smallholders and people new to keeping sheep.
shows and events
The Group organises activities for members, such as the annual barbecue, and provides support and advice for newcomers to sheep-keeping, as well as exhibiting at many agricultural shows.
membership
New members are always welcome, the only qualification is having an interest in Ryeland sheep.
The annual subscription is £6.00 for which members receive a quarterly newsletter as well as details of the show results during the summer.
